Please excuse me while I gush over my Personal Brand Photography session with Laurie Stone from Three Wells Acupuncture Clinic! I have known Laurie for many years and is definitely someone you should know. Both Laurie and I started our businesses around the same time and she was one of my first personal brand photography clients back in 2014 (back before brand photography was even a thing).
“Back in the day” when Laurie initially hired me to photograph images for her website, I was very focused on weddings and wasn’t even thinking about brand photography, however, I knew Laurie placed a lot of trust in my skills and I couldn’t tell her ‘no.’ Now as I transition my photography business from weddings to brand photography, you can view many images from Laurie’s first session on my website.
Laurie would be the first to tell you that she’s not thrilled about being in pictures, yet she knows the value of connecting with her clients before they meet her for the first time.
Many people think acupuncture is scary because you get all these tiny needles stuck throughout your body (ok, that wasn’t the best description because it really isn’t that scary – LOL!). But Laurie has learned that as the face of her brand, she can put new and potential clients at ease by showing who she is and what she does – in a non-scary way.
Laurie is in the midst of redoing her website and brand colors so for her latest personal brand photography session, she wanted to concentrate on detail images and more action images that can be used on her website. She also wanted to be able to use her images on social media to promote educational blog articles about the other aspects of her business – like DoTerra essential oils, supplements, and Zentangle.
And Laurie has also given me one of the best compliments I could ever receive… During her session, she told me that I have a way of making her feel comfortable in front of the camera and couldn’t imagine having her photographs taken by anyone else. Awe… Thanks, Laurie!
