Top 4 Business Books to Read

Top 4 Books for Entrepreneurs

When I stared my business 10 years ago, I thought I had a small clue what I was doing. Everyone told me I needed a business plan so that’s what I did – created a business plan. But I remember trying to put a whole bunch of information into a business plan that I had no idea how to come up with. It was so overwhelming!

Now that I’ve been in business awhile, I’ve come across books that I wish I would have had from the beginning because they have helped me shape my business over the last few years. They have helped me manage my fiances, create an actionable marketing plan, clarify my message to my audience, and create healthy habits to accomplish my goals for my business.

Here are my Top 4 Book Recommendations for Entrepreneurs. I recommend reading them in the below order.

It helps me budget for sales taxes, income taxes, and rainy-day situations. It has also dramatically helped keep my business expenses in check.
  2. The 1-Page Marketing Plan: Get New Customers, Make More Money, And Stand out From The Crowd // https://amzn.to/2zw9mPH // Why I Love It: I instantly fell in love with this book when I read it because it breaks down the marketing process and explains, in plain terms, what types of marketing there is. And the author provides worksheets to help you develop your own marketing plan.
  3. Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen // https://amzn.to/2ztrIke // Why I Love It: As a personal brand photographer, branding is obviously my jam but this book teaches you why branding is so important and it gives you working lessons to determine your brand. Worksheets are also included.
  4. Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones // https://amzn.to/2zu4Tgf // Why I Love It: Habits are what builds us – personally and professionally – and this book will teach why having habits are important, how to start with little habits, and how to build into big habit changes. The author believes in building upon 1% every day. The author gives many resources to help you build upon your habits.

These books I find tremendously helpful in running my business. They are not “fluff” books but books that give you practical applications to transform your business. I hope you enjoy them as much I do!
